Program Description

This dynamic 4-week program equips participants with the essential skills and knowledge to excel as an esports stage manager. Guided by industry professionals through a curriculum that blends theoretical knowledge with practical application, the program covers critical areas such as event coordination, team management, technical setup, and live event troubleshooting. By the end of the program, participants will be ready to oversee the logistics and operations of competitive esports events and prepared to step into the world of professional stage management.

Program Objectives

• Master event management skills, including logistics, scheduling, and vendor relations.
• Develop technical knowledge in stage design, lighting, and sound systems.
• Gain proficiency in live broadcasts, including platforms and on-air production elements.
• Develop communication strategies for coordinating between players, staff, and external partners.
• Master crisis management tactics to prepare for unexpected challenges during events.

Course Staff

• Marina Burgos (Head Coach): Assistant producer and stage manager both inside and outside of esports, from music festivals and F1 Grand Prix to Gamers8. Marina also has secondary experience in technical roles from special effects, lighting, and rigging, making her an optimal stage manager and event expert.
• Mohammed Ibrahim Bin Nafisah (Assistant Coach): Experience working for various events in Riyadh, including Gamers8 2022 and Saudi eLeagues through 2022 and 2023.
